Michael S. Skaff, Ph.D. is a professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Detroit Mercy. For over forty years, Dr. Skaff has been a teacher, consultant, lecturer, and computer programmer for education, business, and industry. He has published at least thirty-five papers and has written a weekly computer column for several local newspapers.
When he's not playing craps, Dr. Skaff enjoys tending his Koi/goldfish pond and flower garden. He has run over twenty-five marathons. Dr. Skaff and his wife Carolyn live in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan where he was named Volunteer of the Year by the East Side Chamber of Commerce in 2004. They have three children and three grandchildren.
